Introduction
Anciently priests were the healers and teachers.Years ago, the rich were treated at home while the poor were left to die in shelters or on the streets. Today the rich die in sophisticated institutions while the poor die at home!
Hospitals are meant to be "hospitality" places where strangers are welcome, but today they serve friends, those known and the rich and famous more than the needy and the uninsured.
Community Care
As an alternative, you or your family may decide that it is feasible to care for somebody of the family in their own home with the help of a health care provider.
About the year 2005, neighbours came together to help other Neighbours. Any Person in Need is defined as Our Neighbour. July 10 of that year The Gate Beautiful was dedicated for service and officially begun. From start to finish, seeing faith grow in our fellow humans gave the inspiration that has brought us thus far.
Volunteers are recruited, in-house trained, supervised and assigned on a need-request basis.
All income from care recipients and non-care recipients are banked. Over eighty percent of payments from care recipients are given to the care givers to pay for out-of-pocket expenses and as partial repayment for their time and service skills.
Offerings
Services rendered by TGB are multifaceted. These include Day Care, Transient Care, Rehabilitative Care, Short -term and Longer -term Care. Not included are terminal care or/and medical/nurse care.
Services are offered on-site, in homes or at other care facilities, irrespective of age, sex, status, creed, language or race. Care at our TGB residential care center is also available.

Area of Operation is limited to the region called Kandy. We support Total Health throughout Our Neighbourhood

Charges for a Private room, Double room etc
TGB has private rooms charged on a single person basis of SLRs35,000/month. Double occupancy is charged at SLRs17,000 per month. The annex occupancy monthly charge is on a single occupancy basis.
A fully refundable deposit that matches the monthly resident charge is needed upon placing the person in our care residence. Dedicated bedside nursing is given after a needs assessment is done on a day-shift, night-shift or 24-hr shift format which is billed separately along with the cost of required medicines.
